What happens when two longtime fashion icons style each other? The result can only be greater than anyone expected, of course! Rather than having an entire team, Courtney Trop and Dree Hemingway took a bunch of fabulous vintage pieces and mixed them with the coolest indie brands around and put them on each other to create a new appreciation for old things, and a deeper love for how we wear them. No frills, no drama, just a granola way of dressing. When we look inside our closets, and the closets of those who inspire us, we realize that at the end of the day fashion is the universal sign for understanding ourselves and one of the best ways for us to relate to each other.

Talent: Dree Hemingway and Courtney Trop

Super talented stylist-turned-photographer Thistle Browne and stylist Heathermary Jackson — both in New Zealand during COVID-19 lockdowns — traveled to Rangitoto Island, a dormant volcano off the coast of Central Auckland, to shoot the new campaign for New Zealand jewelry designer Jasmin Sparrow. The shoot showcases Sparrow’s timeless gold and silver jewelry, and a beautiful collection of hand-beaded bras and skull caps designed with Glen Prentice. Models wore mainly vintage from Search and Destroy and Brownstone Cowboys’ collection, combined with some local, sustainable brands and New Zealand gumboots (rainboots).
